My Sims history... by Rflong7

Hi =]

We got The Sims game free when we purchased a new computer- back in 2000, iirc... I never played it so it ended up in my desk drawer.

It was years later I took the game out of that drawer. After moving to a new State and my husband leaving on another long tour of duty in the Mideast that I started playing... At that time I had to quit all my sports activities because of injuries. After a few years of PT and still playing, the new Doc said either learn to live with all the pain or stop playing: Love Doctors- lol!

I wasn't active on The Sims site but did download and start learning about CC. When The Sims 2 was released, I jumped right in.
The Sims 2 site was the first forum/site I actually participated on. I was shy at first. lol

I wrote a few stories: 'Just Another Legacy,' and 'The Barbie Apocalypse.' Then started participate in building competitions; I did make it into two of the site Showcases... which lead to lots of fun making neighborhoods in SC4 and a few tutorials on making neighborhoods in the Game. - Good Times! Much love to SimMasterNeena for saving my account back then- Hugz to you! XD

I didn't want to move to TS3 because I liked controlling the neighborhood stories for each and every family.  I only moved on to TS3 because my youngest son preordered the Limited Edition for me as a Mother's Day present... How could I not play when he smiled so big as I opened the box?  =]

Without encouragement from my Sims 2 friends on not giving up to the rude posters at the beginning of TS3 site...I'd have not stayed on the Main Forums. Those early days on the site was a learning experience. So, I stayed there just to be ornery... XD

Anyway, once Create a World was released I found my love of the game. Nothing in the game can pull me in and let me drift away then making worlds. Sculpting, painting, and planning the worlds seems to give me a Zen calm so that both time and worries slip away.

Plus, I've found such wonderful people in the Create a World section... The CAW Explorers have helped me become a better world builder. They test, recommend, offer buildings and Sims, and encourage me and so many other builders.

Now...I'm so glad I took the game out of the draw and that I stayed with TS3- it's been just the best time because of the Fantastic People on the Forums- all the sections! :hugz:

That's right... Me

I know, an ordinary Simmer who spends way too much time in CAW...

I wanna thank whoever thought I'd be a good contribution to this event. I'm so ecstatic and excited to know I not only get a chance to help play test TS4 but to go back to Germany. I spent a lot of my youth there- in Stuttgart and Frankfurt. Not that I speak German - unless I get to buy a lot of candy- like I did back then. XD

I'm not a cute or pretty and I'm not young or any way extraordinary... Just one little Simmer who loved to chat in the forums and play in CAW.

I've been so... bubbly? hyper?  with energy ever since I got the first email. I did have to ask a Guru if it was real, though. XD

Anyway... I'll do my best to get as much information as I can. Hopefully I won't hyperventilate with all the excitement- See it on Youtube if I do! With over 40 Simmers going, someone would catch it on video.  XD
