I got new stuff packs and finally updated my game. Fingers crossed that there's no problems. I took my custom stuff out till I'm sure it'll work with the latest patch.
Celeb Market was won by Tristan. He cleaned the floor and none of the others could catch him. His garden has now become a template and its in the new 'allotment' where he and the others can tend the garden and get free produce.
Tristan made well over the $3,000 ($5,107 to be exact) and has mastered the garden skill. He can revive dead plants and had the coveted money tree!!! He grew the standard produce, but has been the first of my Sims to grow Lime trees and onions.
Father Jonathan of Canterbury has been downloaded again and is trying to make sure the residents behave themselves!
With the update, my Sims can now go on a dates by ringing. Ben Cramp grew up and is trying to get Ayseha Ansari to go out with him. So far its no 'I don't know you well enough'. Can he woo the tomboy into a whirlwind romance? He'strying to take her to my bar, The Big Blue bar.
New Celebs to hit the town are Tom Daley (diver) and Alexandra Burke (singer).
I am giving everyone hot tubs! Living Outdoors Stuff has a few and I'm happy, my Sims 3 has hot tubs!!! Woooo! Erzi through a BIG party to break his hot tub and I changed his traits to include 'Party Animal'. I will defo use this trait more. And there's a new one, 'Vehicle something'. As the 'newbie' Tom is testing this out.
The new furniture is cool and I love redoing the bathrooms and bedrooms with the Master Suite Stuff.
Ageing is still staying off but now the cake works all ages now (pity I had deleted the four children before but oh well...), I can have children now and families! Stand by for epic sagas. Erzi and Jim will adopt, the Brownes will have the first baby. Then the Newbies will have children.
If the ageing only appiled to the household played (like in Sims 2) I would use it. But my experiences of the accelarated ageing of the town outside the house has really put me off.
The ghost msytery thickens, they are now travelling round the town sneaking into houses and lots. Something from updating the game??? There's the usual musical interlude and sure enough there they are. The weird thing is I don't recognise them. By deleteing the original graveyard, I'm wondering if some ghosts might not have been in their graves and are 'homeless'?!
My own graveyard functions normally and those ghosts don't appear to leave it. I had Sims take turns, Tristan, Dave Ramsey and Fr Jonathan all had a night duty to see what was going on. They spent another night each at the Lofty pool but no ghosts came, which makes me wonder if updating has changed behaviour. Maybe I can do a sociology paper on them?!? LOL.
